The Bachelorette Party Grows Up

Forget the drunken night out, with male strippers, a tiara and “Bride” emblazoned in rhinestones across your chest – the "It" bachelorette party is far less about debauchery and a lot more about healthy self awareness and indulgence.

A trend is being set by more mature, sophisticated brides and their friends who are over the bar-crawl stage. Taking care of drunken friends, a hangover, and the potential for drama…That is simply not appealing – brides are opting for classy and chic ways to celebrate the occasion that authenticates who they are. Joining Kim for 60 minute combination spa treatments (including variations on massages, cocoons, body polishes and scalp, face & neck massages) were Lori, Jen, Lauren, Emily, Melissa and Kelly. A healthy brunch with champagne mimosas - and a gorgeous view - served in the Footprints Relaxation Space, sustained the ladies-on-waiting while other members of the party were in session.

Bride, Mari Edwards' Bachelorette Party

Mari, Aiko, Anne, Jennifer, Monica, Xio, Chiara and Amber arrived for their spa treats late afternoon on July 25th. While half of the party headed off for their massages, facials and body polishes, the other half enjoyed the afternoon sunshine on the bike path and across Cannery Row to Monterey Bay in the Footprints Relaxation Space, with appetizers from The Trailside Cafe and their own champagnes brought for the celebration. Reservations for a sunset dinner on the patio of the Trailside Cafe completed their visit to Steinbeck Court.
